Heart disease is largely preventable. Small, consistent habits make a big difference, and none of them need special equipment or a gym membership.
Move a little every day
Aim for 30 minutes of brisk walking on most days. Even short walks after meals help lower blood pressure and blood sugar.
You do not need perfect, you need consistent.
Eat more of what grows
Build meals around vegetables, whole grains, beans and fish. Limit processed foods, salt and sugary drinks.
