Candour
We tell you what we would tell a friend, including when the honest answer is "not yet" or "not this route".
About Meridian
We are a regulated team of advisers, former case officers and caseworkers who believe immigration advice should be candid, organised and human.
Our story
Amara Whitfield and Tomas Reyes spent a combined twenty-two years inside immigration departments before they opened Meridian in 2009. They had seen how many strong applicants were refused for avoidable reasons: a missing document, a badly timed submission, advice that was optimistic rather than accurate.
So they set three rules that every adviser here still follows. Tell clients the truth about their chances. File nothing until it is ready. Stay on the case until the decision arrives.
Today forty regulated advisers work across three offices and speak more than twenty languages, but you will still deal with one person who knows your file by heart.
What we stand for
They are written on the wall of every office, and they shape how we hire, train and price our work.
We tell you what we would tell a friend, including when the honest answer is "not yet" or "not this route".
Applications are built like legal briefs: structured, evidenced and checked twice by a second adviser.
One named adviser owns your file from the first call to the final decision. No hand-offs, no repeated stories.
Moving country is among the biggest decisions of a life. We keep the process calm, clear and kind.
Our journey
Meridian opens with two advisers and a focus on skilled migration to Canada.
Second office opens and the UK practice launches with a dedicated spouse visa team.
The appeals unit is founded after a surge in refusals caused by changing evidence rules.
Remote-first assessments and an encrypted client portal replace paper files.
The corporate mobility desk opens in the Gulf, relocating whole teams in a single quarter.
Leadership
Senior practitioners lead every practice area and review every complex application personally.
