Buying your first home is exciting and a little daunting. Here is the process we walk every first-time buyer through.
1. Set a realistic budget
Include the deposit, transfer fees, agent fees and a buffer for moving costs. Most buyers should plan for about 8% on top of the price.
2. Get mortgage pre-approval
A pre-approval letter shows sellers you are serious and tells you exactly how much you can borrow.
3. View with a checklist
Note light, noise, storage and service charges. Photos never show everything.
